Over the long-term, the land-use structure can show the main changes
in the landscape and exploitation of natural resources. The largest
coverage of the 64,600 km2 in Latvia is by forest and
agricultural land. Together, forest and agricultural land has
totalled slightly more than 80% during the past 60 years.
