| Mean yearly ground level ozone
concentrations ranged from 53 - 96 µg/m3. In some
stations, the 8-hour levels exceeded the limit values for human
health protection, particularly in the stations used for
monitoring of the pollution from automobile transport in the Rīga
centre (60 days) and in Liepāja (18 days) and in the urban
background station in Olaine (13 days).
The level when residents must be warned (180 µg/m3)
was not exceeded.
